Journey To Hong Kong Pt 3

My 3rd day in Hong Kong. Today we are leaving from the busy noisy town to a quiet peaceful town of Hong Kong - The Lantau Island.

We ride a 45 minutes ferry to there, then take a 30 minutes bus to visit the giant Buddha. Yeap, it is big, and is big, and is very big. Lol. After climbing up n down, then we have our vegetarian lunch there. Surprisingly it’s delicious.

Took another bus again to another place of Lantau Island call Tai-O. Watches a lot of that place before from TVB drama series, finally I came and visited. It’s a very peaceful fish village, it reminds me of Pangkor Island from Perak. Which is quite similar but here is much more cleaner.

We went back to Hong Kong Island, after dinner and it’s the end of my day 3 in HK.

The Final day, save up all my energy for today - SHOPPING. Once I get up, prepared and went to downstairs to do all my shopping. Shop for more than 5 hours? Then went back to the apartment, pack my bags and to the airport.

While on my way, saw a very beautiful sunset. Hong Kong is lovely, and I love H K.

See you Hong Kong. Muacks.

Journey to Hong Kong Pt2

Second day in Hong Kong. Woke up in the morning, and my aunty bought me a cup of Star Bucks. Didn’t take any breakfast today, because Lai Yee wanted to bring me somewhere to have the perfect brunch that I never taste before. Due to Aunty June was food poisoning, so she didn’t join us.

We took the tram (kinda like a mini bus) to the IFC building (which is the tallest building in Hong Kong). We had stopped at the wrong station, and walked about 20 minutes to reach IFC building. On the way, we saw a lot of people preparing for a big production of filming. Hmm… I wonder who is the actor / director.

The restaurant name - Lumiere. It’s a Sichuan bistro + bar. The buffet brunch only serve on weekends. This restaurant was introduced by the show - “ji wan fan kut” and only their appetizers and desserts are buffet style, and can only choose 1 of the main course. Anyway, without the main course, it is enough to melt your stomach.

Every dishes are Perfect. Even my aunty was amaze by their quality of food.

After the heavy brunch, we walked around at the Central again. Then went back to Causeway Bay, met up with Aunty June, and took cab all the way to another end of Hong Kong to the “Stanley Market”. Did some shopping over there, and I found the cheapest ‘cheong sham’ there. We bought few of it before getting back home.

After having dinner, Lai Yee and me took MTR to Kowloon the “Women’s street”. And here you can find the pirated branded hand bags with A stock, Double A stock, or Super A stock. Another shopping heaven, and here is where I found the “I love H K” for robin. Cheap cheap cheap!

That’s the end of my day 2 in Hong Kong.

Journey To Hong Kong Pt1

First of all, thanks to Lai Yee, Aunty June, Corrine and Cynthia for EVERYTHING in Hong Kong.
And thanks to everyone who wish me happy birthday.

My 1st day in Hong Kong.
The place where I stay was perfect at Causeway Bay (tong lor wan) the very central of Hong Kong, downstairs is the Sogo shopping mall. I had my breakfast at one of the cafĂ© nearby, very familiar with the breakfast set A, B, C, D… … due to I always watch TVB, everything seems so familiar for me.

Then, we took a cab to Kowloon Island, to the Apliu Street and market nearby.

We had Wan Ton Mee for lunch at Jordon Road, and it taste real good! Yum~

The next destination, we went to The Peak for some beautiful view of Hong Kong, it’s a bit wasted that I should have go up there for the sunset view. Well, it’s still nice.

We took the tram back to the Central, and walk around. After that, we took ferry to the opposite island (Kowloon), to wait for the 8pm - symphony of light show! Waited for too long, my aunty and friend’s are tired, so we just go to the Intercontinental Hotel, for some tip bits and wine and wait for the lightings ‘up’!

It’s the flower crab season in Hong Kong now, so we had it for our dinner.

That’s my journey of Day 1 in HK.

Pulau Ubin and others.

9th Nov 2007
Xiao Zhu was spotted at Bugis! Yeah. He is super handsome, thou I waited for him for an hour.

10th Nov 2007
Ky, Kim Hong and me had dinner at Changi Village, and this are the dishes for only 3 persons. (No wonder everyone gets fat after coming to Singapore) That’s BAD! Duh**

The desperate eaters

First time play 4 people mahjong. Syiok and win money!

11th Nov 2007
Ky and me decided to go to Pulau Ubin to EXPLORE (actually due to yesterday dinner, I wanna do some cycling exercise, so the main reason was cycling.)
We went all the long way (by bus) to Changi Village, took a little old boat without safety wear with only $4 per return trip and here we ‘float’ to Ubin Island.

Boats (cheap)!

Monkey faces on the way (no photo please!!)

Upon reaching, we ate something simple for late lunch, and rent 2 bicycles ($2 per hour) and start exploring the whole island. Funny thing is Ky said he forget how to cycle, and using all his force on his hand. start sweating for less than 100 meter, and turning left-right on the straight road. Lolx.

My dream house

This was a really different kind of feeling from Singapore, without buildings, vehicles and crowded people. Very relaxing I should say. Ubin Island is just a small and peaceful island, fresh and salted air, palia dogs, forest and greens, kampong houses and the SEA!

Walking track

Can you see thousands of little crabs there. Is amazing anyway

After 2 and half hours of cycling, we return back our bicycle, watching the beautiful sunset and had dinner there. Till then, we rode back the old darn boat and back to Singapore.

Maison Night Out

First of all, thank you for all the condolences, and may my grand father’s rest in peace.

Another late post again, I was so busy traveling from Singapore to KL for a night, then from KL to Ipoh for 3 nights to attend my grandpa funeral. All the way back to Singapore again and Robin came here for visit and spend some quality time with him.

Here is the post on 2nd November, as I went back to KL to meet up some friends in Maison (due to ky’s boss own Maison ). There is: Robin, Kwan Yean, Lee Chuan, Wayne and 3 friends, Jushin and friends, Kathy, Ah Wai, Kimberly, Victor, Zen and girl friend and … more.

Here are some photos... ...

I’ve forget how many types of alcohol I drink that night, rum, vodka, tequila, champagne, whiskey … …
And after all the drunkenness , here are some before and after:

That's all for now. PM if you guys want photos.
